The Dancing Turtle podcast: from the archive

Between 2008 and 2010, Dancing Turtle Records produced a podcast series presented by label founder Dominic Brown. The final episode was released earlier this year, bringing the series to a close. The full archive remains available on iTunes and other streaming platforms.

Each episode draws on the breadth of what Dancing Turtle is interested in — music from across the label’s own roster alongside other artists that have caught our ear, spanning folk, electronic, world music, dub and beyond. It is less a promotional vehicle than a genuine reflection of the music that moves through this label’s world, presented without fuss and with the same curatorial instinct that runs through everything Dancing Turtle does.

Nineteen episodes have been recorded over the past two years, covering a wide range of music and moods. Taken together they form a document of where Dancing Turtle has been and what it has been listening to — a useful companion to the releases, and a worthwhile listen in their own right.

All nineteen episodes are available now on Apple Podcasts and other on-demand streaming platforms. If you haven’t dipped in yet, there is no shortage of places to start. And if you’re thinking about starting a podcast of your own, Dancing Turtle Media’s in-house studio offers a full podcast production service — from concept to finished episode, including content strategy and social media support to help you find and grow your audience.

Independent music, film & culture — without compromise.
